Dr. Sushil Adhikari, an expert in Biological Engineering, is an Alumni Professor in the Biosystems Engineering Department at Auburn University, Alabama, USA. He is also the Director for the Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts at Auburn University. His research interest include Spectroscopy and Catalysis, Nanomaterials in Catalysis, and Nucleophile Catalysis. Dr. Adhikari earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, an M.S. degree in Energy Technology from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and a Ph.D. degree from Mississippi State University in Biological Engineering. Dr. Adhikari’s area of research include biomass gasification, pyrolysis, algae liquefaction and upgrading, and hydrogen production from biological materials. Dr. Adhikari has published 96 peer-reviewed journal articles and 8 book chapters, and has been cited more than 4,800 times. Dr. Adhikari has received numerous highly prestigious awards from various institutions, and he was named as “World’s Most Influential Mind” by Thomas Reuters in 2014. He was born and raised in Dang, Nepal, and he currently lives in Auburn, Alabama, USA.

Dr. Manish Neupane, Cancer Biologist, received his Veterinary Medicine degree from Tribhuwan University, Nepal, and got his PhD in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Biology from Michigan State University, U.S.A. He did his post-doctoral study in Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at Harvard Medical School, Boston, U.S.A. Currently, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Medical Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Dr. Neupane has been extensively trained in understanding the biological basis of initiation and progression of cancers. He has been investigating various aspects of carcinogenesis at molecular, cellular and whole organism level using cutting edge technologies, and aims to translate his findings into clinics for the benefit of cancer patients. He was born and raised in Baratnagar, Nepal, and he currently lives in New Jersey, U.S.A.

Dr. Prem B. Bhandari, Social Demographer, received his Ph.D. degree in Rural Sociology and Demography from Pennsylvania State University, USA, M.S. degree in Rural Development Planning from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, and B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Economics from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr. Bhandari’s major research expertise include social research methods; socio-economic and cultural determinants of migration, fertility, and population health; rural social change; population and environment; natural resources, and sociology of agriculture. Dr. Bhandari has several work experience including as an Instructor at the Department of Rural Economy, University of Alberta, Canada; Lecturer of Agricultural Economics at the Institute for Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan University, Nepal; Adjunct Professor of Agriculture and Forestry University, Rampur, Nepal; and  as Research Scientist in several high level institutions in Nepal and USA. Dr. Bhandari is engaged for long time in the design and implementation of various research and training programs in Nepal, which includes data collection, data management, and analysis of survey data. He has published a number of research articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented dozens of papers in national and international scientific conferences. He is the Editor of International Journal of Women's Health and Wellness and Global Journal of Agricultural and Allied Sciences and International Advisory Board member of Dhaulagiri Journal of Sociology and Anthropology, Nepal. He is also serving as an Occasional Reviewer of over a dozen international journals. He served as the General Secretary of the Association of Nepalese Agricultural Professionals of Americas (NAPA) (2016-2018). Dr. Bhandari is a member of the Population Association of Americas (PAA), American Sociological Association (ASA), Population and Environmental Research Network (PERN), Population Association of Nepal (PAN) and NAPA. Mr. Shekhar Dhungel, an activist from the NRN group of the USA, is known for his literary work. He has written many books, poems and lyrics. He received his Bachelor Degree in Humanities from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Dhungel is originally from Katunje, Bhaktapur, and he currently lives in USA.

Dr. Santosh Aryal, Biomedical Nanotechnologist, is a member of Nepal Chemical Society, American Chemical Society, Controlled Release Society, and Biomolecular Imaging. Dr. Aryal received his Ph.D. degree from Chonbuk National University, South Korea. He was born in Chidika VDC,  Arghakhanchi, and raised in Butwal, Lumbini Nepal. He currently lives in Kansas, USA.


Ms. Rama Paudel is a graduate student  pursuing M.Sc degree in Plant Science at California State University, Fresno, USA. She received her B.Sc. degree from IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. Dr. Rupak Rauniar, an expert on Operations and Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and New Product Development received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA. Dr. Rauniar is the Vice-President of Nepalese Association of Houston, Advisor to South Asian Youth Alliance, and member at the Academy of Management, Production and Operations Management Society. Ms. Indira Parajuli, a Ph.D. student in Environmental Engineering at Incheon National University, Korea, is highly experienced individual in Social Mobilization of stakeholders in the field of Environment and Community Development. Dr. Hari Kumar Shrestha, Seed Scientist and Technologist, is the Founding Secretary of Asta-Ja RDC Nepal. Dr. Shrestha serves as  Vice-president: Health, Education, Agriculture and Development Society Nepal, and President: Lumbini Kapilbastu Promotion Global Movement (Nepal Chapter) and Member: Lumbini-Kapilvastu Day Movement Global Committee. Dr. Shrestha  received his M.Sc  in Seed Science and Technology from UK, and Ph D degree  in Agronomy from Taiwan. Dr. Satish Bastola, Water Resource Engineer, received his Ph.D. degree from University of Yamanashi, Kofu, Japan, and his M.Sc. and BE degrees from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr. Bastola's expertise include understanding terrestrial water cycle of medium to large river basins, and effect of climate and global change on water resources and hydrologic regimes, including floods and droughts. He utilizes hydrological models, global data sets, GIS, MATLAB, C++, Fortran, R, Data visualization tools and Remote Sensing in his research works. He was born and raised in Pokhara, Nepal, and he currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. 

Dr. Aditya R. Khanal, Agricultural and Applied Economist, received B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Sciences from IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. He has received three master's degrees: MA in Economics from Virginia Tech, USA, and MS in Finance and MS in Agricultural Economics from Louisiana State University, Louisiana, USA. He received his PhD degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from Louisiana State University, Louisiana, USA. Mr. Bhoj Raj Ojha, Economist, received his Master's degree in Economics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, in 1979. He has also received Associate Degree in General Studies and Graduate Certificate in General Management from USA. Mr. Ojha has an working experience as Assistant Lecturer (Economics), Tribhuvan University, 1979-1989, Lecturer, 1989-2003, and Associate Professor/Reader, 2003-2008. Mr. Ojha  served as Asst. Dr. Raju Adhikari, a Chemist and Polymer Scientist, received his Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from University of Delhi, India. He is currently working in a wide range of research projects including  the design, synthesis and characterization of polymer for nutrient coating and film for agriculture application, RAFT polymer for cosmetic applications, fluorescent and phosphorescent small molecule, monomer and polymer for OLED application, biostable polyurethane for biomedical devices and biodegradable polymer for tissue engineering and food application. Dr. Adhikari has authored/co-authored more than 80 refereed journal articles. He has received several awards including NAV Academic Excellence Award 2018, CSIRO Agriculture and Food Director Award, 2017, Victoria Multicultural Commission (VMC) Meritorious Community Service Award, 2015, Award for S&T Contributions and Community Service, 2012, Nepali Consulate of Victoria Excellence Award, 2012, and Non Resident Nepali Association NRNA-Australia of the year 2012. Dr. Adhikari has served over a dozen of social and community organizations. He is a Founding President/Chair of Nepali Association of Victoria (NAV) 1997-2000, Help Nepal Network Australia, HeNN-Australia, 1999-2010, NRNA International Coordination Council (ICC) global Skill Knowledge and Innovation (SKI) Committee 2009-to date, and NRNA’s ICC Nepal Science Foundation (NSF). Mr Nilkantha Tiwari, Founding General Secretary of Asta-Ja Abhiyan Nepal and Founding  Vice President of Lumbini Kapilbastu Promotion Campaign, received his Master's degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal.  He is involved in many social activities in Nepal. Mr. Tiwari was born and raised in Parbat district of Nepal, and currently he lives in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Dr. Ramjee P. Ghimire, Sustainability Scientist, received his Ph.D. degree in Community, Agriculture, Recreation and Resource Studies from Michigan State University, USA (2016). His major research interests include agricultural extension, competency assessment of students and staff, program evaluation, and food security. Dr. Ghimire has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented dozens of papers in scientific conferences. He has moderated professional seminars and workshops. Currently, he serves as the reviewer for the Journal of International Agricultural and Extension Education, Journal of Communication Informatics, and Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology. Mr. Madhukar Shumshere JB Rana, former Finance Minister of the Government of Nepal, is a Development Economist, Public Finance Specialist, Political Scientist, International Relations Specialist, and a successful Entrepreneur. Born in Lalitpur, Nepal, in 1941, Mr. Madhukar Shumshere JB Rana attended  Dow Hill Girls' and Victoria Boys' School, Darjeeling, from 1949-56 to obtain his Senior Cambridge certificate where he won the Best All Round Student of the Year, 1956. He received his B.A. (Hons) degree in Political Science from the Hindu College Delhi University in 1962; he was ranked Board 3rd. From 1962-64, Mr. Madhukar Shumshere JB Rana attended the Graduate School of International Relations at Geneva University in Switzerland (Certificat des Hautes Etudes Internationale); from 1964-66, he attended the Manchester University in England for a degree in Economic Development  (Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Studies); and in 1967 he attended the MacMaster University in Canada, for a Master's degree in Public Finance. From 1967-68, he held the Federal Govt of Canada Position of District Manpower Economist for Metro Hamilton Wentworh Niagra Region Ontario Canada, and from 1969-71, he worked as a Lecturer of Economics at North Bay University in Canada  and as an Associate Teaching Master for Industrial Relations, Statistics  and Economics at Canadore College of Applied Arts and Technology.  Mr. Madhukar Shumshere JB Rana joined CEDA  at TU, Nepal, as an Associate Professor in 1971 and became the Executive Director for CEDA in 1978. He has served the Government of Nepal at various capacities including as a CEO for National Trading Corporations, 1973-74, Head for the Task Force on Trade, Transit and Commercial Policies, 1975-77, Ministry of Industry and Commerce; Chief Economic Advisor, 1982 , Ministry of Finance;  Assistant Minister ( Special Advisor), 1996,  Ministry of Foreign Affairs;  State Minister (Senior Advisor), 2002, Ministry of Finance; and Finance Minister, 2005.  Mr. Madhukar Shumshere JB Rana is the Founder Chairman, Nepal Finance; Founder Chairman, Shaligram Hotel; and Founder Member of Board, South Asian Institute of Management, Lalitpur, Nepal. He was invited to Brookings Institution, DC, in 1977 as a VIP Guest of State Department, USA, to attend the North South Dialogue. The UN positions held by him include UNCTAD Sr Regional Economist, Laos and Afghanistan, 1979-82, and UNDP South Asian Sr Programme Manager, 2004. Dr. Jiwnath Ghimire is an urban planning scholar working in the field of land use planning, transportation planning, geographic information systems, and disaster management. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Specialist in the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM). His research interests are utilization of climate science in plans and policies, disaster risk and vulnerability assessments, post-disaster recovery planning, geospatial methods, and community resilience. His Ph. D. research focused on the utilization of climate science in urban land governance to deal with uncertain but inevitable problem of climate change in Central Vietnam.  He completed his Master’s and Ph. D. degrees from Department of Urban and Regional Planning at UHM.  Dr. Ghimire received his first Master’s degree in Rural Development from the Department of Rural Development at Tribhuban University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He worked in Nepal for three years in the field of anti-corruption and good governance before he came to Hawaii to pursue his higher education. He was awarded Asian Development Bank Government of Japan Scholarship through East-West Center from 2007 to 2009 to complete his Master’s degree. Dr. Yagya Prasad Adhikari, Canopy Ecosystem and Environment Specialist,  received his 1st M.Sc. in Botany From TU Nepal, and 2nd M.Sc. in Sustainable Resource Management  and  Ph.D. in Canopy Ecology from TUM Germany. He is he Founding President of Canopy and Environment Conservation Nepal,  Founding Member of Sustainable Environmental and Ecosystem Management Nepal, and NRNA-ICC member, Germany.  He was born and raised in Kaski, Nepal, and he currently lives in Munich, Germany.



Dr. Udhab Raj Khadka, Water Resource and Green Remedial Technologist, is a life member of Nepal Geographic Information System Society, Nepal Biotechnology Association, and Indian Association of Hydrologists. Dr. Khadka received his Ph.D. degree from India. He was born and raised in Yagyanbhumi VDC, Dhanusha, Janakpur, Nepal, and he currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

Dr. Ram Pukar Thakur received his M.Sc in Animal Health degree from UK. He was born and raised in Dhanusa district of Nepal, and he currently lives in Lalitpur, Nepal..

Mr. Bhim B. Karki, a Certified Public Accountant and Finance/Economics professional, has been serving Nepalese diaspora through Nepal Society of Texas, the NRN, and the Association of the Nepalese in the Americas (ANA). He is the Founding President of the International Nepali Literary Society (INLS) Texas Chapter. He earned two MBAs, one from Tribhuwan University, Nepal and another from Colorado Technical University, USA. Mr. Karki was born and raised in Syngja district of Nepal, and he currently lives in Dallas, Texas, USA. 

Mr. Jagannath Kafle, Secretary of Asta-Ja ICC,  is the Founder of Rural Urban Development Consultancy, Kathmandu,  and the Dakshinkali Agriculture and Livestock Pv.ltd.,  Nepal. Mr. Kafle received Masters degree  in Economics  from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.He was born and raised in Udayapur district, Nepal, and he  currently lives in Helsinki, Finland.

Dr. Krishna P. Paudel, Environmental and Resource Economist, received B.Sc.degree from IAAS, Rampur, M.S. degree from Auburn University, USA, and Ph.D. degree from the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA. Dr. Paudel was born and raised in Chitwan, Nepal, and he currently lives in Louisiana, USA. 

Dr. Khusi Ram Tiwari, Plant Breeder. received his Ph.D. degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from University of Manitoba, Canada. He was born and raised in Lamjung district, Nepal, and he currently lives in Mississippi, USA.


Dr. Deergha Adhikari, an Economist, is the Founding member of Asta-Ja Abhiyan Nepal. He was born and raised in Birgunj, Parsa district, Nepal, and he currently lives in Louisiana, USA.

Dr. Surya Bhattarai, .Agriculture Research, Teaching & Industry Development. Dr. Bhattarai received his Ph.D. degree from Central Queensland University, Australia. He was born and raised in Pokhara, Nepal, and currently lives in Rockhampton, QLD, Australia.

Mr. Purna Bahadur Karki,  a Ph.D. candidate at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, is an expert on  Peacebuilding, Post-Conflict Management and  Conflict Resolution. Mr. Karki is a member of the Japanese Association for South Asian Studies (JASAS). He  holds MA degree in International Studies. Mr. Karki was born and raised in Shankar Pokhari VDC-8 of  Parbat, Nepal, and he currently lives in Tokyo, Japan.

Dr. Krishna Belbase, Program Development, Monitoring and Evaluation/Policy Formulation and Evaluation Specialist,  received his Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics/International Nutrition from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA, in 1991, M.Sc. degree in Economics/Development Economics/Environmental Economics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois, USA, in 1983, and M.A. in Economics/Econometrics/Agricultural Economics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, in 1979. Dr. Belbase has nearly three decades of working experience in UN.  Dr. Belbase served UNICEF, New York, USA, as a Senior Evaluation Specialist from 2007 to June 2017; as a Regional Chief of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Social Policy for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), UNICEF Regional Office, Amman, from 2003 to 2007; as an Advisor, UNICEF’s Nutrition Section, Programme Division, New York, from 1998 to 2003; as a  Programme Officer, Nutrition, UNICEF, Pakistan, from 1996 to 1998; and as a Programme Officer, Household Food Security and Nutrition, UNICEF, Botswana, from 1991 to 1996. Dr. Belbase has a  very impressive and a long list of achievements while in UN. Just a small highlight of some of his  notable accomplishments include::(1)  The UNICEF’s 2008 Evaluation Policy Formulation - planning and management of a thematic evaluation portfolio covering health and nutrition, social protection, early childhood development and communication for development, and (2) Quality Assurance and Dissemination (including presentations to UNICEF’s Executive Board) for remarkably a large number of projects :including Reducing Stunting in Children under Five Years of Age: A Comprehensive Evaluation of UNICEF’s Strategies and Programme Performance,   Evaluation of Community-Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), Meta-analysis of UNICEF’s Nutrition Programme Evaluations, and Evaluation of UNICEF’s Response to the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami(provided overall leadership and guidance for design and implementation of UNICEF’s tsunami evaluation portfolio that focused on evaluating the impact of UNICEF’s $695 million allocation to tsunami response (covering recovery and development phases during 2005-2008; the most ambitious evaluation ever commissioned by UNICEF).  In addition, Meta-synthesis of Evaluations Examining Interventions aimed at Protection of Violence Against Children, Evaluation of UNICEF Programmes to Protect Children in Emergencies,  and Communication for Development: include other  UN projects that Dr. Belbase had played leading role.  Dr. Belbase has managed or co-managed several Inter-agency/Joint Evaluations such as  LRRD in response to tsunami, OCHA evaluation of the Common Humanitarian Fund, UNFPA/UNICEF Joint Programme, UNEG, and NONIE. Dr. Belbase collaborated with ESCWA, UNDP and other UN agencies in the preparation of the 2005 and 2007 regional reports on the MDGs;promoted the use of DevInfo as a monitoring/reporting tool, facilitated regional and country level DevInfo training, and strengthened partnerships among the UN agencies on DevInfo in the region. Dr. Belbase coordinated Regional Office’s technical review and contributions to the UN/World Bank Joint Assessment Mission report “Framework for Sustained Peace, Development and Poverty Eradication in Sudan.”  During his job assignment in Pakistan and Botswana, Dr. Belbase accomplished several nutrition and food security initiatives in these countries.  Dr. Belbase served many UN Committees at various capacities including as Co-Chairs for UN Inter-agency Working Group on Food Insecurity and Vulnerability Information Mapping Systems (FIVIMS), 2000-03; and UNEG Taskforce on Joint Evaluation. Dr. Belbase’s early careerl work experience include as a Faculty member/Principal Investigator/Research and Teaching Assistants/Instructor at various US Universities; Project Monitoring Specialist at USAID, Kathmandu, Nepal; Research Assistant at CEDA, Kathmandu, Nepal; and Field Supervisor, New Era Consulting Firm, Kathmandu, Nepal. Ms. Bhagawati  Basnet, a Teacher and an expert in Women Entrepreneurship, is the General Secretary of International Nepalese Artist Society (INAS), patron of NRNA-ICC, Israel, treasurer of International Nepali Gazal Manch (ANEGAM), global member of International Nepali Literary Society (INLS), and a member of Lumbini Kapilvastu Day Movement (National Committee), Israel. Ms. Basnet received her   bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Social Science  from TU, Nepal. She was born and raised in Chitwan, Nepal, and she currently lives in Haifa, Israel.

Dr. Shiva Gautam, Biostatistician, is heavily involved in various organizations and initiatives dedicated to Nepal's socio-economic development including  America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF), International Nepali Literary Society (INLS), and several other organizations that are based in US, Canada and Nepal. Through different activities, Dr. Gautam has been continuously engaged on important issues related to overall improvement of public health and education in Nepal. Dr. Gautam earned his Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Statistics from the University of Texas, Richardson, Texas, USA,  and his Bacelor degree in Statistics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. He was born in Yangpang VDC, Bhojpur, and raised in Biratnagar, Morang, Nepal. Dr. Gautam currently lives in Boston, USA.
Mr. Binod Regmi , Ph.D. candidate in Biology at University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, USA, received his master’s degree in Biological Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. He was born and raised in Palpa district of Nepal, and he currently lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA.

Dr. Shriniwas Gautam, Agricultural Economist, received his Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics from University of Missouri, Missouri, USA. Dr. Gautam has earned three master's degrees. He received his 1st Master's degree in Agriculture

from Marathwada Agricultural University, Maharashtra, India, 2nd Master's degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and 3rd Master's degree in Agricultural Economics with focus on Agribusiness and International Development from Michigan State University, USA. Dr. Krishna Lal Poudel, Agricultural Economist,  earned B.Sc. in Agriculture and M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from IAAS, Rampur and PhD in Environment and Resource Sciences from University of Miyazaki, Japan. Dr. Achyut Sharma,  a microbiologist, is the pioneer in founding Nepal’s educational program on microbiology. For the last 25 years, Dr. Sharma has worked as a professional microbiologist at many industrial and academic organizations. Dr. Sharma has also worked as a resource person in national and international organizations in many countries in Europe and Asia. He has published over 150 research papers in national and international journals .Dr. Sharma received his Ph. D degree in Microbiolog from  Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh,UK,  2nd M.S. in Microbiology from, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, and his first M.Sc degree in  Botany from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal.  Dr. Sharma's professional affiliations include: Member of  American Society of Microbiology,  Life member and Ex-treasurer of Nepal Biotechnology Association Nepal,  Founding President, Nepalese Society of Microbiology,  Member of Environmental Council, Nepal Government, and  Member, Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics (APUA), Chapter-Nepal. Dr. Rosina Poudel, MD, MS, is an Internal Medicine Resident and a member of American College of Physicians. She has been involved in various volunteer works including teaching at underprivileged schools, running rural health workshops, and other community services locally and abroad such as Thailand and Saba. She was a founding Vice President of Multiculturalism in Healthcare, a student organization at Louisiana State University. She was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and moved to the United States as a child. She is very interested in global rural health. She currently lives in Louisiana, USA.

Dr. Rudra Aryal, Physicist/Natural Scientist/Environmental Scientist, received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from University of Miami, Florida, USA. Dr. Aryal received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Physics from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr.  Aryal's research focuses on air pollution especially on the interaction of solar radiation with surface level and column integrated atmospheric pollutant (aerosol) particles. Currently, he is involved in a study on aerosol optical properties  over North Atlantic Ocean at Bermuda, and also over the Himalayan region of Nepal. His research outcomes have been published in many peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Aryal was born and raised at Rampur  in Palpa district of. Nepal. He currently lives in Rindge, New Hampshire, USA. 

Mr. Rudra Sharma, a successful businessman and social worker, received his B.Com. degree from PN Campus, Pokhara. Mr. Sharma is the Chairman of the Holistic International Society for Health Nepal , Patron for Help Nepal Network Korea, Federation of Nepalese Journalist Korea, Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA ) Korea,  Senior Advisor for Nepal Business Association Korea, and Director for UNESCO Gwangju City Korea. He was the founding member of Rotary Club of Pokhara.  He has a keen interest in philanthropy and social work . He has done a lot of charity work in his home district and has supported many other social causes. He is running his business in Korea. Mr. Sharma hails from Parbat district and he currently lives in South Korea. 

Dr. Sushil Gautam, Wetland Biogeochemist and Environmental Scientist, received his B.Sc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal; Master’s degree from University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, USA; and Ph.D. from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, South Dakota, USA. Dr. Gautam was born in Kapilvastu, Nepal. He currently lives in Houston, Texas, USA.

Mr. Sunil Gupta, Taxation Law Expert,  received his 1st Master degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal, and his 2nd Master degree in Laws (LL.M)  from the SMU Dedman School of Law in Texas, USA. He is the founder of  the SMU Tax Law Society. He holds a diploma in Advanced Studies in International Taxation from the Netherlands.  Mr. Gupta received his Bachelor of Law  from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, became a licensed attorney and conducted his own practice with a focus on tax and corporate law in Nepal.He is a member of Nepal Bar Association. Mr. Gupta was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, and he currently lives in Dallas, Texas, USA. 

Dr. Murali Adhikari, Online Small Business Development and Marketing Expert, received his Ph.D. in Agri. Econ. along with M.Sc. in Statistics from University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA. He received his 1st M.Sc. degree in Agri.  Dr. Basu D. Sharma, Business Administration, is 

the Founding member of Asta-Ja Abhiyan Nepal and Founding editor of the Journal of Comparative International Management. He sits on the editorial boards of: the Journal of Management, the International Journal of Management Literature, Labour and Management in Development, Research and Practice in Human Resource Management, and Workplace Review. Dr. Sharma devotes his spare time to promote the cause of international peace, environmental protection, and poverty elimination. He lives in Canada. 




Dr. Lekhnath Kafle, Integrated Pest Management/ Pest Control Scientist, is the Founding Coordinator of NRN Taiwan, Founder member of Nepal Taiwan Association, member of International Nepalese Literature Society, and member of Global Federation of Nepali Literature.  Dr. Kafle was born in Gulmi, Nepal, and raised in Shillong (Meghalaya) India and Rupandehi, Nepal. He currently lives in  Taiwan.

Mr.  Mauje Lal Prasad Jayaswal, agricultural research scientist, received his B.Sc. Hons. Agri. degree from Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar, Haryana, India, in 1971; Diploma in Agriculture from SIDA, Savalove, Sweden, in 1975; M.Sc. in Agronomy from North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, USA, in 1984; and M.A. degree in Sociology from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, in 1999. Mr. Jayaswal has a very diverse and an extensive working experience in the field of Nepalese agriculture including as an Agronomist for Department of Agriculture, Government of Nepal; Country Coordinator for Asian Legumes Network; Senior Farming System Research Officer and Chief Planning Officer for NARC; as a Project Leader/Team Leader/Director for numerous agricultural development projects funded by several international agencies such as USAID, UNICEF, HELVETAS, HKL, WFP, DFID, ITAD, World Neighbors, and World Bank. He is an excellent resource person for Training on Peace Building and Conflict Management, PRA, Orientation and Management of Autonomous or Corporate Body organization, Social Science Research Skills, Grain Legumes Production Technology, and  Forest Based Micro-enterprise Development. He is fluent in three national languages (English, Nepali, Hindi)  and four regional/ethnic languages (Bhojpuri, Maithili, Tharu, Awadhi), and can communicate well in Urdu language. Mr. Jayaswal has travelled extensive both inside and outside the country including  USA, Sweden, India, and several countries in   ASIA, Europe, Africa, and Australia; and he has also extensively travelled in the Hills and Terai of Nepal covering 56 districts out of 75. Mr. Jayaswal currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal. 

                                                                                           

Dr. Lal Baboo Gupta, Dental Surgeon,  is a retired Dental Surgeon from the Government of Nepal. Dr. Gupta received his Bachelor of Dentistry (BDS) degree from Demont Morency College of Dentistry in Lahore, Pakistan. Dr. Gupta joined the Government of Nepal in 1980 and retired in 2010. He worked in different zonal hospitals including Jhapa, Janakpur, Biratnagar, Birgunj   and in Bir Hospital in Nepal. Dr. Gupta currently runs his Birta Dental Clinic in Birgunj, Nepal. He was born and raised in Shabhu Nath Municipality, Kachandaha-1, Saptari, Nepal.

Dr. Peetambar Dahal, Plant Biologist, received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees on Plant Biology from the University of California at Davis, California, USA. Dr. Dahal received his B.Sc. degree in Agriculture from the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), formerly University of Udaipur, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.  Dr. Dahal has an extensive working experience in Nepal including in Plant Quarantine, Horticulture Seed Production, and Postharvest technologies, and in other countries such as India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda in postharvest technology. He is involved in promoting an important concept of Climate Smart Dry Chain concept, which addresses the concern of the medical community and international food organizations regarding the threats posed by toxigenic molds and insects on food safety, nutrition and health. Dr. Dahal grew up in a farm at Madi Rambeni, Sankhuwasava in eastern Nepal, and he currently lives in Davis, California, USA. 

Dr. Niroj Aryal specializes in water quality and ecological engineering. He is a dual major Ph. D. graduate in Biosystems Engineering and Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University, USA. He also owns Master's degree in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University, post graduate diploma in Environment Education and Sustainable Development from Kathmandu University and undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering from Tribhuvan University. Dr. Aryal, originally from Gorkha, Nepal, lives in Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA.


Mr. Lok P Basel,Accounting/Auditing/Taxation Expert, is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.Mr. Basel received  his degree inChartered Accountancy from India and  MBA  from USA. Mr. Balaram Adhikari, Hydroplant Supervisor, has a bachelor degree in Rural Development and Diploma in Hydro-Electromechanics. Ms. Priya Dhungana, is a Ph.D. candidate in Botany (Angiosperm Taxonomy)at Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam India. She received her  M.Sc. in Botnay from Gauhati University, Guwahati, and B.Sc. in Botany from Jagannath Baruah College, Dibrugarh University, Assam, India. She was born and raised in Guwahati, Assam, India, and she currently lives in Jorhat, Assam, India.

Mr. Madhav Adhikari, Founding Member and current Executive Board Member of Asta-Ja RDC, Nepal, is an expert in Urban and Regional Planning and GIS/RS. Mr. Adhikari received his Masters degree in Geography from TU, Nepal and M Sc degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ben-Gurion University, Negev, Israel. Mr. Adhikari was born and raised in Dang district and he currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Dr. Bishnu Pariyar, an expert in Natural Resource Management, Poverty Alleviation and Livelihoods, and Energy Policy,  is the Founding Director of Children Support Fellowship Nepal.  Dr. Pariyar received  his  PhD degree in Environment and Social Policy, and his B A (Hons) degree  in Social Policy from the University of York, United Kingdom. Dr. Deb P Jaisi is an Environmental (Soil) Chemist at the University of Delaware, USA. His research thrust lies in the environmental fate of several inorganic and organophosphorus compounds. Dr. Jwala Bajracharya, an expert on Value Chains and Women Empowerment, received her 1st M.Sc. degree in Botany from Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal, and 2nd M.Sc. degree in Seed Technology from University of Edinbergh, Edinbergh, Scotland, UK, She received her Ph.D. degree in Agriculture and Forestry Science from University of Wales, Bangor, UK. Mr. Sahas Shrestha, a Water Resource Engineer,  is an expert in flood forecasting using Hydraulic/Hydrologic Simulation Models. He received his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering degree from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana, USA, and  Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Nepal. Mr. Shrestha was born and raised in Hetauda-6, Chaughada, , Makawanpur, Nepal, and he currently resides in Houston, Texas, USA.

Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Dhungana, a PhD Student in Crop Production at Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea.Mr. Dhungana has received  MS degree in Agriculture and MA degree in Sociology. He was born and raised in Lalbandi VDC, Sarlahi, Nepal, and he currently lives in Daegu, South Korea.


Dr. Rajendra Devkota, Organic Agriculture and Food System Specialist, received his Ph.D. degree from Hohenheim University, Germany. Dr. Devkota was born and raised in Chitwan district, Nepal, and he currently lives in Germany.

Dr. Purusotam (Puru) L Shrestha, Mines and Mineral Geologist and an Expert on Mining Geology and Mineral Exploration, received his M.Sc. degree in Mining from University of Wales, UK, in 1976, and his Ph.D. degree in Geology from Institution of Mining and Technology, New Mexico, in 1993. Dr. Shrestha joined HMG Department of Mines and Geology in 1976 and worked in Base Metal Exploration and Feasibility studies until early 1979. In 1979, Dr. Shrestha joined United Nation to work on UNDP Mineral Development project in Ghana. In this project, Dr. Shrestha had an opportunity to work in developing a School of Mines and supporting the state-owned gold, manganese and bauxite operations in Ghana. The UNDP project had a profound impact on increase in gold production, modernizing mining operation, training the technical staff, updating mining laws, establishing mineral research, and coordinating foreign investment in the country. Dr. Puru Shrestha joined BHP Utah International in 1989 as a Research and Development (R&D) Manager for Mineral Development at its R&D office in Sunnyvale, California. BHP Utah International was a global mining house with mining operations across the world. During 1989-1999, the company made a major stride in discovering and developing world class mineral deposits across the world and Dr. Puru Shrestha was an integral team member of discovery and development. In 2000, Dr. Puru Shrestha was transferred to Australia to take a new challenge as a Global Technology Manager to oversee the technology development for the world-class iron, coal, copper, nickel operations. By 2007, the company was grown to over $200 Billion assets and over 250,000 staff across the world. In 2009, Dr.  Puru Shrestha was transferred back to Tucson, Arizona, USA, to oversee a major merger and integration of two mining giants, however, the merger failed through. Dr. Puru Shrestha stayed with company until 2013.  Dr. Puru Shrestha is currently CEO and President of Geominmet Consultant Inc.  Dr. Puru Shrestha is currently engaged heavily in understanding environmental issues in Nepal. He has a created a virtual site called “Community Environment Academy” for education, awareness, participation and behavioral change. He is also advisor to NRNA USA NCC and NRNA ICC Expert Conference. Dr. Puru Shrestha was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. He currently lives in Tucson, Arizona, USA.

Mr. Akal Bahadur Tamang Lama, Environmental Conservationist and Social Worker, received his diploma in Photography from Samsumg Institute of Korea, South Korea. Mr. Lama received trainings in diverse aspects of social mobilization and leadership development including Human Rights Issues (South Korea), Special Volunteer Development (South Korea), Business Leadership (Cambodia), Educational Leadership (Japan), Community Leadership (South Korea), People for People (USA), Path to Success (German), and Multi-business Leadership Development (Nepal). Born and raised in a farming family in Chitwan, Nepal, Dr. Bed Prasad Khatiwada is a horticulturist by study and has gained experiences of working with farming families in sustainable livelihood and economic empowerment issues for 8 years. Dr. Khatiwada got opportunities to see farming systems of Australia, Netherlands, Germany and USA while working in different development projects. He believes the agriculture based development initiatives should be geared up in Nepal by private sectors investment for agri-enterpreneurship with focus on quality and export. With expertise in Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) for detection of internal defects in fruits, Dr. Khatiwada worked for University of California Davis (UC Davis) as postdoctoral research scholar. Currently, Dr. Khatiwada is a free lancer postharvest horticulturist working in Brisbane, Australia with focus on extending the use of NIRS in food quality assessment.

Mr. Binab Karmacharya is a Ph. D. candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. Mr. Karmacharya received his masters’ in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida, USA, and B.Sc. in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Chitwan, Nepal.He was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, and he currently lives in Louisiana, USA.

Mr. Chan Bahadur Gurung, Food Security, and Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GESI) expert, is a Ph.D. candiate at Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He received his MA degree in Rural Sociology from TU, Kirtipur, and B.Sc. in Agriculture from IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. He is the President of  Himalayan Research and Social Development Center and the Sustainable Agriculture, Environment, and Rural Development Center, headquarters in Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Gurung was born and raised in Pandrung, Mathillo Jarang, Gorkha, and he currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal.


Dr. Narayan Prasad Dhital, Forest Scientist, received his Bachelor in Commerce and B.Sc. Forestry degrees from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, M.Sc. in  Forestry from Wageningan  University,  The Netherlands, and Ph.D. in Forest Science from Laval University, Quebec, Canada. He is fluent in Tibetan, French, English, Hindi and  Nepali languages. He was born and raised in Kavre district of Nepal, .and he currently lives in  Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.



Dr. Tara Niraula, an educator, researcher, and social policy expert, received his bachelor degree in Education from Tribhuvan University, Nepal,  a double masters in Educational Administration and his Doctor of Education degree  in Organization and Leadership from Teachers College of Columbia University, New York, USA. Dr. Niraula has served in many social organizations including the Nepalese Americas Council/Non -Resident Nepali Association of North America and America Nepal Friendship Society. Mr. Bishnu Dayal Singh Tharu, Agricultural System Scientist, received his M.Sc. degree in Agricultural System from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand,  in December, 1993, and his B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri. Economics degree from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan in  1987. Mr. Bishnu Dayal Singh Tharu's working experience include:  Regional Team Leader/ Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for  Project for Agriculture Commercialization and Trade (PACT); CEO for Mithila Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank, Dhalkeber; and Officer to Section Chief, Regional Training Chief, SMED Division Head Office, Kathmandu, Agriculture Development Bank, Ltd. He was born and raised in Megh Nath Gorhanna-4, Mahottary, Nepal. He is fluent in English, Nepali, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Maithanli and Tharu languages. Mr. Bishnu Dayal Singh Tharu currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Mr. Kiran Marahatta is an international award winner television journalist, author and documentary maker from Nepal. Mr. Marahatta is the U.S. Correspondent of ABC Television, a most successful news channel in Nepal, and contributor writer at Huffpost and Khasokhas weekly, US based medias. Mr. Marahatta, the President of Nepali American Media and Research Center New York, is the accredited journalist of State Department USA. He is the honorary member of Nepal America Tourism Journalist Association. He also serves as the News Coordinator of nepalbritain.com. Mr. Marahatta is well-known for his outstanding Anchoring skill & style for TV Shows. He has hosted more than 3000 TV shows, one of the largest numbers in the country those contributed massively on socio-economic & political life. Starting his career in early 2000 AD as a Radio Host/reporter, later Program Head at Butwal FM 94.4mhz Mr. Marahatta excelled himself so quickly. He served Nepal Television, the only government own TV station in Nepal, from 2006-2008 as an anchor/producer. He also worked with Gorkha FM 93mhz, a venture of British Gorkha Group, as an Anchor/ Reporter & Program Head in 2007-2009. Mr. Marahatta joined ABC Television as a presenter/producer/reporter, and later he was promoted to a Program Head & Deputy General Manager. He has presented papers in several international forums regarding Nepali Journalism and current affairs. Mr. Marahatta is one of the most influential and versatile journalist who won NAGC International Journalism Award, Excellent Youth Award, Noja Journalism Award, Agniban journalism award and several international honors. Mr. Marahatta is currently based in New York, USA.

Ms. Jigyasa Sharma is a Doctor of Science candidate in the Department of Global Health and Population, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University, MA, USA. She majors in the Population and Reproductive Health with minors in Quantitative Methods and Health Systems. Jigyasa's academic and research interest is at the intersection of reproductive health and health system strengthening in resource-constrained settings, and is inspired by questions of health equity and human rights. As a part of her doctoral training, she is keen on building an expertise in combined use of quantitative (epidemiological and econometric) and qualitative methods in global health research. Her dissertation research focuses on understanding the levels and determinants of, and evaluation of strategies to improve, quality of facility-based care for mothers and newborns in low- and middle-income countries. Jigyasa also worked with the Department of Reproductive Health and Research at the World Health Organization Headquarters in Geneva on projects aimed at improving sexual and reproductive health of women globally. In particular, she supported data analysis and evidence synthesis efforts to inform policies and guidelines pertaining to improving quality of facility-based care for mothers and newborns. Jigyasa received her Bachelor degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delihi, India, an MSc. in Public Health (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) from McGill University, Canada, and A.B. in Biological Sciences and Politics from Mount Holyoke College. She was born and raised in Chitwan, Nepal, and she currently lives in Boston, MA, USA.

Dr. Ambika P. Adhikari, Des., AICP, has over 25 years of professional and academic experience in urban and environmental planning and project management internationally, including in Nepal, India, USA, Canada, Mexico and the Pacific. In Nepal, he was a member of the Government of Nepal's National Water and Energy Commission – the highest policy making body in this sector. Dr. Adhikari received Doctorate in Urban Planning from Harvard University, obtained post graduate fellowship from MIT and M. Arch. from University of Hawaii. He is a Fellow and Life-member of the American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNE). He was born and raised in Bhojpur, Nepal, and he currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
Dr. Kabindra Adhikari is a Soil Scientist with expertise in soil mapping, GIS and terrain analysis. He received his PhD from Aarhus University, Denmark, M.Sc. from Ghent University, Belgium, and B.Sc. from IAAS Rampur, Nepal. Dr. Adhikari was born and raised in Tanahun, Nepal, and he currently lives in Madison, USA. 


Dr. Raj K. Shrestha, Soil Scientist, received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Soil Science from the University of the Philippines, Manila, the Philippines. Dr. Shrestha was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, and he currently lives in Blacksberg, Verginia, USA.


Dr. Pushpa R.Pathak,MD, an  Internal Medicine and Hospitalist, is a member of American College of Physician, and a Graduate of Shanghai Medical University, P.R.China. Dr. Pathak is fluent in Mandarin (Chinese language). He was born in Chitwan and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is a graduate of  St. Xavier School. Ms. Bandita Parajuli,  Communication Expert, is involved in environment, youth and community services in Nepal since many years. She received MS in Communication Studies from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, USA, and her other degrees include MA in Economics, PGD in Environment Education and Sustainable Development. She was born in Hetauda and raised in Hetauda, Pokhara and Kathmandu. She currently lives in  Kathmandu, Nepal.

Dr. Rajendra B. Shrestha, Agricultural and Resource Economist/Development Economist/Natural Resources and Environmental Management Specialist, received his Ph.D. (Honors) degree in Agricultural and Resources Economics from the University of Hawaii (1988), USA. Dr. Shrestha received his first Master’s degree in Statistics from Tribhuvan University (1974), Kathmandu, Nepal, and the second Master’s degree in Agricultural and Resources Economics from the Oregon State University (1985), USA. Dr. Shrestha specializes, among many others,  in quantitative and evaluation techniques, social and environmental assessments, and  economic diplomacy.  His other interest include research and practice of preventing Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) through Diet, Exercise and Stress Management (Life Style Modification to Better Health) and he has published a Hand Book on NCD prevention..  Dr. Shrestha has over 35 years of International Development working experience with The World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP and other International Agencies (bilateral and multi-lateral) including USAID, DIFID, DANIDA, WFP, FINIDA, Win Rock Int., and WWF. He introduced Community Driven Development (CDD) Models in Nepal and was recognized as a Champion of Reform. Dr. Shrestha was a faculty member at the University of Hawaii, USA from 1985-1988 and he was a senior faculty at CEDA, Nepal, from 1988 to 1992. He was the Founder and Executive Director of Development Alternatives Nepal (1992-2000). He had been Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Works and the Ministry of Population and Environment, and National Planning Commission, Government of Nepal. His leadership experience also includes the Team Leader and Resource Economist at World Bank, 1992-94; Lead Development Economist at Asian Development Bank, 2004-2007; and National Coordinator of Asia and Pacific Development Center, 1990-1991. Dr. Shrestha has been an executive and active member of a large number of National and International Professional Associations including Charter President, Rotary Club of Chandragiri, RI District 3292 and President of Nepal Council of World Affairs. Dr. Shrestha has received several awards and recognitions including Ford Foundation Fellow, 1979-82, Mahendra Bidhya Bhusan, Class I and American Academic Achievement Award, 1988 and was listed in Who’s Who, USA. Dr. Shrestha was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal where he currently resides.

​Dr. Chandra Kanta Gyawali, an advocate practicing in the Supreme Court of Nepal since 1991, received his Ph.D. Degree in Constitutional Law, LLM in Constitutional Law, MA in Anthropology, and MA in Political Science from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. As a Constitutional and Anthropological Expert, Dr. Gyawali has contributed remarkably in educating public and other stakeholders in the area of Constitution, Federal and  Local Governance, Constitutionalism, Constituent Assembly, Federalism and Electoral Reform and Judiciary in Nepal. Dr. Gyawali has written several books, and he has published more than 1,000 articles in newspapers, magazines and International journals. Dr. Gyawali has received several awards including Bidhya Bhusan Padak by Rt.Hon. Ram Baran Yadav the first president of Nepal in 2011, Excellent Book Award to the Constitutional law of Nepal by Nepal Bar Council by Chief Justice Rt. Hon. Damodar Prasad Sharma, Nationality promotion written Law Prize, 2067, by Rt. Hon. Chief Justice Ram Prasad Shrestha, and Excellent English written on Law Prize, 2072, by Rt. Hon. Chief Justice Susila Karki. Dr. Gyawali has worked on several projects funded by various International Agencies including UNDP, UNICEF, ROHLAR, ADB, UNESKO, and OHCHR BISS in Bangladesh. He has presented papers related to Constitution, Governance, Federalism, Electoral System, Inclusive Democracy, and Human and Fundamental Rights in various conferences and workshops organized in Austria, China, India, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Korea and Bangladesh. Dr. Gyawali served as the Team Leader of South and East Asian Regions of Young Diplomats in CISS, Beijing and SIFIS in Shanghai and Wenzhou Province, 2016, for China’s One Belt One Road Initiative. He has served several organization and forums such as Nepal Council of World Affairs, Asta-Ja Abhiyan Nepal, Asta-Ja Research and Development Center, Constitutional Lawyers Forum of Nepal, and the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepal, at various capacities. Dr. Gyawali was born and raised in Gulmi, Nepal, and he currently lives in Kathmandu, Nepal.  

Dr. Gokarna Gharti-Chhetri, Molecular Biologist, received his M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in Plant Biotechnology from Vrije Universitet Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Gharti-Chhetri received his first M.Sc. degree in Agronomy & Management from the University of Philippines at Los Banos, Philippines. He received his .B. Sc. Agriculture degree from Udaipur, India. Dr. Gharti-Chhetri's wide range of expertise include biofuel production, molecular biology techniques, Scanning Electron Microscopy, wheat breeding, grain storage and post-harvest technology. Dr. Gharti-Chhetri has gained extensive working experience from a large number of institutions including the Department of Agriculture, GoN, Nepal; Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Rampur, Tribhuvan University, Nepal;  the Council for Technical and Vocational Education (CTEVT) Nepal; and the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Dr. Gharti-Chhetri's cutting-edge research include phytoremediation of arsenic in South Asian countries, the development of a plant-made subunit vaccine against genital herpes infection for Egypt, and citrus viruses in USA.  Dr. Gharti-Chhetri serves as a member of the Greater Lantana Educational Board of the City of Lantana and at the Community Affairs Advisory Board of the Town of South Palm Beach, Florida, USA.  He is a member of Florida Association of Community Colleges, American Society of Plant Biologists, and the Founding President of Nepal Molecular Biology Society, Nepal. He was awarded with a Fulbright Scholarship. Dr. Gharti-Chhetri was born and raised in Palpa district of Nepal. He is fluent in French and Spanish. Dr. Gharti-Chhetri is a certified Yoga Instructor, and he currently lives in Palm Beach, Florida, USA. 

​Ms. Sabina Khatri, Geologist and Hydrologist, received her M.Sc. degree in Geology from Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. She is currently pursuing her 2nd M.Sc. degree in  Hydrology and Environment Management at Technical University Darmstadt, Germany. She was born in Kavrepalanchok district and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal, and she currently lives in Darmstadt, Germeny. ​

Dr. Krishna Bista, Higher Education Expert, received his EdD degree in Educational Leadership/Higher Education from Arkansas State University, MS degree in Post-Secondary Education & English from Troy University, Alabama, USA, and MA in English Language & Literature from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr. Bista is a faculty member of  the Department of Advanced Studies, Leadership and Policy at Morgan State University, Maryland, USA. His research focuses on college student experiences related to classroom participation, perceptions of academic integrity, faculty-student relationships, role of advisors, and cross-cultural teaching and learning strategies in higher education. Currently, Dr. Bista is working on a book project Global Perspectives on International Student Experiences in Higher Education: Tensions and Issues (Routledge, New York). Dr. Bista is the Founding Editor of the Journal of International Students, a quarterly publication on international higher education. He is also associate editor of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education. Dr. Bista serves on the editorial review boards for Kappa Delta Pi Record, Teachers College Record, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, and International Journal of Leadership in Education. He has reviewed several book projects related to educational research, international and comparative education series for Routledge, Sage, Palgrave MacMillan, and Bloomsbury publications. He was born and raised in Dang district, Nepal. Dr. Bista was born and raised in Bhojpur, Nepal. He currently lives in Maryland, USA.

Ms. Ambika Tiwari, Environmental/Water Quality Specialist, received her M.Sc. Degree from Florida A&M University, Florida, USA  and her B.Sc. Degree from IAAS, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. Ms. Tiwari has working experiences as an Assistant Agronomist at NARC, Nepal, and  as an Environmental Specialist with Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida, USA. Her areas of expertise include Agricultural Water Quality Research, Best Management Practices, Algal Taxonomy and Environmental Protection and Restoration.  Ms. Tiwari  is a founding member and a treasurer of Association of Nepalese Agricultural Professionals of Americas and a life member of International Nepali Literary Society. She was born in Nuwakot and raised in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal. She currently lives in Mississippi State in USA.

Mr. Biplov Bhandari, Geomatics Engineer (Remote Sensing and GIS), received his BE degree from Kathmandu University. Mr. Bhandari is currently working as a Research Associate at the  Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, and his major responsibility includes developing Location-Based Early Warning System Software for Sahana Software Foundation.  Mr. Bhandari has a deep interest in Open Source. He likes to work on  the latest ITs such as 3D and UAV. He is a social enthusiast.  Mr. Bhandari was born and raised in Gulmi district of Nepal, and he currently lives in Bangkok, Thailand.

 


Dr. Arjun Aryal, a Geophysicist,   received his PhD in Geophysics from the University of Hawaii in Hawaii, USA.. Dr. Aryal's early education began in Dhola VDC, Dhading, Nepal. He received his MPhil degree in GIS and Remote Sensing from Cambridge University, England and MS degree in Geology from Purdue University, Indiana, USA. Dr. Aryal's expertise include understanding geologic processes such as landslides and earthquake cycles using data from GPS, radar satellites and laser scanners. He is also involved heavily in many education related charitable non-profit activities. Dr. Aryal is originally from Dhading, Nepal, and he currently lives in Hawaii, USA.
